Main monthly meeting — December 6th

— 9:30am–5:00pm at Swinburne Uni, Prahran

Roger Threlfall hosts the Digital Video SIG's annual Film Festival!
This annual festival showcases the fine work done by members of the Digital Video SIG.

A highlight of the festival will be a 20 minute film 'The Yarra - Ribbon of life'. This is a collaborative effort by six of the SIG members filming the Yarra from the Upper Yarra dam to its mouth. It will show as a ribbon of life the water flow, flora and fauna, bridges, and leisure and recreation activities along its length.

A collection of short films will also be shown. These films will be the best of the Bring & Shows of 2008 and some new films which were produced just for the Film Festival.

Normal AUSOM Activities will be held as usual throughout the day, including the Special Interest Groups' presentations.
Also at the meeting:

  • A wide range of AUSOM merchandise.
  • Raffle ticket sales.
  • Membership renewals and queries.
  • Training DVDs and CDs available for hire, and Library books for loan.
  • Commercial stallholders have Macintosh-related products and consumables for sale at discounted prices.
  • Hot snacks and cold drinks are available at lunch time.
